Boundary Country Gatherings in Review from our Loft House

  

Friends of the Gatherings:  It's been such a very long time since we gathered together in March of this year, and we can't adequately express how much we miss those times.   Corona Virus was ramping up a bit, and so we did our best to follow protocols as we knew them. We sanitized our hands before packing together in the Siewert's cozy living room, while bumping elbows as we greeted one another.  We worshipped, we prayed, we declared, we shared, we ate yummy food and we were certain it would soon be over, and our gatherings would continue.  And so, for that afternoon in March, we simply wanted to review the purpose for our gatherings  and, as well, share a sobering prophetic exhortation that we were sensing for the Boundary Country.

We reviewed the direction and purpose of these gatherings from your feedback: 

Fighting for revival in Boundary Country: it’s simple, but it's not easy: first, we establish a beachhead (and we believe that together we have done that) and then we take the ground. But here is where it gets tricky. There is no script. Rather than trying to be clever in the wisdom of man, we will continue to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit every step of the way. Boundary Country Gatherings are not a replacement for the local church, nor a fight against flesh and blood. But we will firmly stand in the gap, in unity and intercession, until we see breakthrough and blessings rain upon Boundary Country once again. We will continue to invite believers (and seekers) to come, stand, and worship with us. Together, we will chart a course by faith, unity, revelation and repentance straight through enemy territory until we see revival come in the hearts of individuals, in villages, in churches, in communities and in all of Boundary Country.

We remain totally committed to seeing these gatherings continue when the Pandemic is over and are exploring ways in which to keep in touch in the meantime.  Your thoughts are welcome.

Our second goal for that afternoon was to share a very sobering prophetic exhortation with you.  Although we did not fully understand the urgency of the word at that time, we  most certainly do now!  

The Lord is calling to us: 

• AWAKE OH SLEEPER, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
• For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is at        hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light.
• Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to WAKE FROM SLEEP. 
• For you do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly         places.
• Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins,  and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.
• But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are     going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.  So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us KEEP AWAKE AND BE SOBER.
• And continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Well, seven months have now passed, and who would ever have imagined that the entire world would descend into such chaos so quickly?  This chaos has truly revealed the dreadful price of disobedience to God in this generation, but even so, He is still in control and He is re-arranging things as He is getting ready for the greatest outpouring of His Spirit since Pentecost!  We, the church, are moving into something new with great expectation, as it unfolds.  Gord and I definitely feel that we are being reset and preparing for whatever the new looks like!

One truth that has impacted us greatly during this crisis is that we are not citizens of this world, but our citizenship is in heaven and we are to examine all the information that we are bombarded with daily through the lens of what is God doing in this season.  

John 17: 14 - 18 ESV

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.  They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.  As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.  And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

Philippians 3:20 - 21 ESV

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

We see His hand in the slowing down of life as we know it, and the continuation of His unstoppable and creative church, relationship building in pods, recovered free time to reflect on the most important things in life.  And we see His hand in the revivals taking place in the U.S. and Canada with healings, deliverance, baptisms and salvations and thousands of worshippers in attendance.  

We see His hand in the march to the Washington Mall on September 26th led by Franklyn Graham and Jonathan Cahn, which drew 50,000 believers seeking healing for the nation while Sean Feucht led worship and prayer at the other end of the Mall with another 50,000!  We see His hand in corporate prayer over nations like never before.  We see His hand in both the U.S. and Canadian elections as reigning confusion will provoke us as believers to both vote and seek direction from God.    

And how are we, as believers, whose citizenship is not in this world, but in heaven, to be salt and light in these dark times?  We are the  carriers of His light in this world.   The Lord is raising up a radical remnant that will be the most dedicated and fearless spiritual warriors the earth has ever seen. and it looks like this:

• Joel 2:28 - They will be young and old, men, women, boys and girls
• Joel 2:28 - They will be of every nationality
• John 3:30 - They will be yielded vessels
• Psalm 110:3 - They will be willing
• Psalm 24:6 - They will seek His face
• Isaiah 60:1 -They will be part of ushering in the glory of the Lord
• Isaiah 60:2 The glory of the Lord will be seen upon them
• Mathew 11:12 - They will be militant
• Joel 2:7 - They will be mighty and they will be bold
• Mathew 21:21 - They will have great faith
• Luke 9:1 - They will speak with power and authority
• Daniel 11:32 - They will do great exploits
• Mathew 24:14 - They will preach the gospel of the Kingdom
• Mathew 10:8 - They will heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead and cast out devils
• Mark 16:20 - They will have signs, wonders and miracles follow them
• Mathew 25: 35-40 -They will feed and clothe the poor and needy
• Mathew 22:39 - They will love all people no matter who they are
• Joel 2: 7 - 8 THEY WILL BE IN UNITY AND THEY WILL WORK TOGETHER!

What a privilege, what a responsibility, what an honour! And we await with great expectation and prayers to see the fulfillment of this radical remnant arising right here in Boundary Country!   The seeds are everywhere!!!

In the meantime,  with all ministry travel on hold,  Gord and I  are discovering a new rhythm of life, with lots of time for prayer and reflection. We keep in touch with Christian events and news, both local, national  and international via zoom and youtube teaching when our internet is strong enough! We listen to worship music for much of every day, we pray rather than freak out about the 'news', we follow prophetic voices that we consider reputable, we place scripture in the highest place over all that is happening and we are incredibly thankful for this beautiful place that the Lord has provided for  us.   

At the same time, while we wait, Gord is teaching all forms of art to his grandsons,  writing a new book, painting, fishing, collecting firewood, connecting and encouraging friends near and far via text and getting stronger every day!  I am doing well health wise and am learning how to be a real pioneer woman: trapping rodents, identifying scat, storing up preserves for the winter, sewing, writing, collecting firewood and anticipating the seasons as distinguished by the arrival of tics, mosquitos, big flies, beetles, tiny flies, crickets, bees, wasps and spiders at their appointed time.   We would love it if you would take some time to let us know how you are managing, what you are 'hearing' and, as well, listen to the prophetic conversation on the link below from reputable prophetic leaders in Great Britain who truly echo our hearts as we move forward in this unpredictable season, with eyes focused upward!
