Boundary Country Intercession - Focused Healing

Special Focused Healing Service

Boundary Country Intercession, October

The leadership teams of The Gathering, Boundary Country Intercession, and King of Kings have joined together to respond to the recent urging of the Lord  to call a prayer and fasting time SPECIFICALLY  for  Rick Steingard, Elaine Frome and Lonnie-Rae Hogan.  We recognize that each one of them has received many powerful prayers for healing from the body of Christ, but we take seriously the urging of the Lord at this time.  Each one of these servants and lovers of God  are in desperate need of a miraculous healing and we are inviting you to join with us:

Saturday, October 21st

1:00 to 3:00 (and beyond if He asks)

King of Kings, Upper Room

Due to the increasing number of requests for healing prayer, we are actively pursuing the establishment of a Healing Room in Boundary Country.  We anticipate this vision will be realized by January, 2024.  Once the Healing Room is established we will be welcoming people in the Boundary to come and receive Healing Prayer.

What you can expect:

Brief introduction, testimony and explanation
Worship
His Presence and Healing Prayer

  • "Is any sick amoung you? Call for the Elders of the Church; and let them pray over the sick anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.  James 5:14"
  • "Without Faith it is impossible to please Him; for they that come to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6
  • "But let them ask in faith, nothing wavering.  For they that waver are like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not those think they shall receive anything of the Lord." James 1: 6 - 7

We are asking those who are familiar with fasting to join us for a three day fast, beginning on October 19th.

Why are we fasting?

Objective: Fasting could be for spiritual renewal, for guidance,  for the resolution of problems, for special grace or to handle a difficult situation.  However  for this occasion, we are fasting for these three days and asking in prayer to see the Lord move in His healing Power and help us to pray effectively and in the authority He has given to us.

How are we fasting?

Please make a commitment first: Pray about the kind of fast you should undertake. Jesus implied that all of His followers should fast (Matthew 6:16-18; 9:14,15) For Him it was a matter of when believers would fast, not if they would do it. Before you fast, decide the following up front:
  • The type of fast God wants you to undertake (such as water only, or water and juices; eliminating food types, special things such as chocolate, or things that take up your focus such as tv, the news, hobbies)
  • How much time each day you will devote to prayer and God’s Word
  • Making these commitments ahead of time will help you sustain your fast when physical temptations and life’s pressures tempt you to abandon it.

Spiritual preparation:

The very foundation of fasting and prayer is repentance.  Unconfessed sin will hinder our prayers.  Here are a few things we can do to prepare spiritually:
  • Ask God to help you make a comprehensive list of unconfessed sin and deal with it.
  • Meditate on the attributes of God, His love, sovereignty, power, wisdom, faithfulness, grace, compassion, and others (Psalm 48:9,10; 103:1-8, 11-13).
  • Begin your time of fasting and prayer with an expectant heart (Hebrews 11:6).
