It's time for another Gathering: Save the Date.....

The Gathering God created us for Love, for Relationship, and for Community.  It is in this context that we know God and He knows us.  And it is from this place of knowing that we are to embark on the Great Commission! We hope you can join us at our next 'Gathering' where we come together as 'one' in Ekklesia, which to the  to the Greeks meant 'Assemble', to the Hebrews meant 'Gathering' and to Jesus, based on what He exemplified, meant a gathering on the move!)    We come together as one, to worship Jesus and to learn more about the Kingdom of God and the Ministry of Holy Spirit.....Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!  Saturday, November 13th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Greenwood Evangel Chapel 401 North Kimberly Street, Greenwood (Corner of Kimberly & Galloway) What to expect: Vertical Worship, Communion, Prayer, Prophetic Revelation, Teaching, Sharing, Caring, Food, Fun & Fellowship!   Your hosts :  ...

Moving Forward!

We are so very excited to let you know we are moving forward again with 'The Gatherings' and with a few new additions!  It has always been our hope that we would find a core team who would help us with where we sense the Lord is taking us all.  We were thrilled when the Fromme's, the LeBlanc's and the Siewert's said yes to our request.  It is such gift to us to have our friends rolling up their sleeves to help in their area of expertise and giftedness.  Gord and I had our first accountability team meeting on Monday the 18th, and the things that were accomplished and the ideas that flowed blew us away! Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest ‘? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. Here is a summary of that meeting: We have changed the name of BCG to simply 'The Gathering' with the following vision statement which succinctly captures our hearts and hopefully yours. ...

Now is the Time!

Wow!!!! Thank you so much for those of you who joined us  from near and far!  It was so good to be together again and to meet new folks who said "we feel a part of you".  It was so good to  see the Ecclesia in action!  So many prophetic words to process both personally and as a group.  So many folks deeply moved by healing prayer and encouraging words.  Some stepping out in boldness for the very first time.  The word "boldness" has been highlighted over and over and over again!  Yesterday we were with Martin and Elaine Fromme to review the gathering and seek the Lord for where we go from here.  During our prayer time, Elaine, who is usually so quiet, said "This is like taking coals to Newcastle, but I have one word.....Boldness!"    And I thought to myself, OK Lord, we haven't even scratched the surface of where You will take us boldly.  Let's go folks!   One thing that Gord and I are sure of is ...

It's the Promise of His Presence and the Presence of His Promise!

Please join us for our first Boundary Country Gathering after sixteen long months of waiting !  We are more than excited to reconnect, to worship, to pray, to share and to feast on both the Word and Elaine's delicious charcuterie!

Captured, Consumed, Compelled...

Yesterday, Gord and I took a drive to Osoyoos for a much needed beach walk.  The beach was nearly empty,  it was a gorgeous day, and we strolled mask-less, breathing in the fresh air and feeling a bit 'naughty!'  As we passed the Waterfront Hotel, I noticed that although no one knows whether or not there will be a tourist season this year, gardeners and cleaners were out in full force, enthusiastically preparing for an influx of tourists. I mention this  because it illustrates how we are feeling after nearly one year encapsulated in our family bubble.  This time has been so profitable for us:  we have found rest and restoration, sweet times with Jesus and reflection.  However, suddenly, we are sensing  a change in the wind.  And so, like the ground staff at the Waterfront Hotel, we are preparing in anticipation of an influx (an arrival or entry of large numbers of people) of seekers, sleepers and keepers.

Boundary Country Gatherings in Review from our Loft House

Friends of the Gatherings:  It's been such a very long time since we gathered together in March of this year, and we can't adequately express how much we miss those times.   Corona Virus was ramping up a bit, and so we did our best to follow protocols as we knew them. We sanitized our hands before packing together in the Siewert's cozy living room, while bumping elbows as we greeted one another.  We worshipped, we prayed, we declared, we shared, we ate yummy food and we were certain it would soon be over, and our gatherings would continue.  And so, for that afternoon in March, we simply wanted to review the purpose for our gatherings  and, as well, share a sobering prophetic exhortation that we were sensing for the Boundary Country.

THOUGHTS IN A TIME OF PANDEMIC

Image
Ephesians 5:14 (NIV) This is why it is said: Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Grace and peace to you in great abundance during this time of a global pestilence. As you may know, Jan and I had plans to host and also support several gatherings over the spring and summer however, with the Covid 19 pandemic, community as we knew it has changed radically. With restrictions now in place regarding social distancing, self-isolation and quarantines we all need to adjust our way of communicating. What if this quarantine time was not a time to retire, but on the contrary a time to be active for God more than ever? As one commentator said, "you can close down the church buildings, but you cannot stop the Church from moving forward!"
